Today’s Devotional…
When the angel of death passed over the land of Egypt, what preserved the Israelites was not their good works but the blood of innocent animals that was on their doorposts.
But when they got to the wilderness, they quickly forgot how they got saved in Egypt and started struggling to get salvation by the laws of Moses. Sad.
The cross was the doorpost to all humanity, on which Jesus Christ put the blood, which was better than the blood of animals – the perfect blood that declared all mankind NOT guilty.
The cross is the sole entry to the cosmic realities of life. The cross was the endpoint of sin and the starting point of a new hope.
In the beginning, it was not about works. It has never been about works, and it will never be.
May the Holy Spirit grant you understanding in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
