Today’s Devotional…
The next time someone beside you says “We are all sinners”, ask him; “You and who?”. Yes, for they are selective with scriptures, picking only portions that satisfy their narrative that Jesus failed. But God forbid!
For, why concentrate on Romans 3:23 which condemns man, meanwhile totally ignoring the two liberating scriptures that sandwich the verse? See the verses below.
Rom 3:22 KJV Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:24 KJV Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Paul was not trying to condemn man in this portion of scripture, but to project the finished works of Christ, to present man perfect and righteous in Him.
I know they will also isolate and quote 1John 1:10 to you which says: “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”
And they will torment your conscience telling you that you are “making God a liar” (As if you even have the power to do that)
But guess what the very next two verses of the same portion of scripture say? Check below.
1Jn 2:1-2 KJV My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Did you see that? So please, don’t let anyone intimidate you with isolated scriptures that accuse you of sin, for indeed, they are accusing Christ of failing in His earthly mission, not being able to take away sin. Ponder…
May the Holy Spirit grant you understanding in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
