YOU ARE GUILTY…

Today’s Devotional…

Yes, you are guilty if you are still struggling to live by the law. For the law had only one objective: to stop every mouth and make the whole world appear guilty before God.

So, if you think that by struggling to observe the law, you can appear righteous before God, then read our opening verse again.

The end result of obedience to the law is condemnation.

The law was simply a tool God used to prove that all men were guilty of sin. He did this so that all men could see the need for a totalitarian salvation, and that is where the Messiah comes in.

Today, many Christians are turning again to the law, struggling to obtain righteousness by it, forgetting that Moses and all the Israelites failed to achieve righteousness through this way.

You will continue to live in perpetual consciousness of sin and guilt, if you continue to seek righteousness through the law. That’s all you can get from the law.

Righteousness, comes from Christ. He is the one who justifies (not the law).

While you ignore the righteousness that Christ gives and keep struggling to obey the obsolete law of Moses, know that Moses and all those who were under the law longed to see Christ and obtain free and pure righteousness that you ignore but didn’t.

Why do you want to go for the law that enslaves men but reject Christ who gives liberty? Ponder…

For Christ’s sake, may you never be guilty, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
