Today’s Devotional…
There was a set time for sin to be taken away from mankind; this time occurred in “due time”, some two thousand years ago when Christ died on that cross of Calvary.
Sin could not survive beyond its due time set by God.
The apostle Paul in Galatians 4:4&5, calls it the fullness of time appointed by God to redeem all sinful mankind from the bondage of the law (that empowered sin)
If in due time, and at the fullness of time, God did not truly save mankind, then it wasn’t in fact the due time, nor was it the fullness of time. Ponder…
The due time set by God according to our opening verse was dependent solely on God’s unconditional love for mankind, for it was when men were still “without strength”!
If God saved mankind when they were without strength, it is simply proof that man could not save himself, nor could he keep his salvation.
But thank God for His loving-kindness! “…For it was He which worketh in them both to will and to do of his good pleasure…” Phi 2:13. Abba Father!
The due time has already come and gone. We are living in the age after the due time for sin; we are living after the fullness of time for redemption from bondage.
May the Holy Spirit open your eyes to see the special time in which you live, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
