If men were righteous or had a way of working out their own salvation, there wouldn’t have been any need for Jesus to come.
Jesus did not come to assist men to complete their righteousness; He did not come to join them fight for their salvation. No.
Jesus came as evidence that all of humanity’s attempts to obtain salvation by their works had proven futile. Jesus came because humanity had failed in every attempt to secure its own salvation.
Jesus did not come in the middle of a fight to help; He came at the end to take over, win the victory, and gift it all to man. He came at the fullness of time.
Jesus came when all men were still sinners – all. Not even one man was righteous, yet He came. Ponderβ¦
It was the sin of the world that motivated Jesus to come and not its righteousness. Righteousness is the gift that Jesus brought to substitute the sin of man with, it was something that man could NEVER afford.
If the world had been righteous, it would never have needed Jesus. Today, you think it is “your” righteousness that attracts Jesus. Think againβ¦
Listen, you don’t have any righteousness. You cannot afford righteousness. All righteousness belongs to Jesus. If you think you have any drop of it, it is only a gift from Jesus and not what you earn by any means. Ponderβ¦
All you need is an understanding of this precious gift of righteousness that Jesus Christ gave you on His resurrection day, and you will become a living expression of His manifest glory.
May the eyes of your understanding continue to be enlightened as you grow in the knowledge of His finished works, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
