HELP FOR UNBELIEVERS

Today’s Devotional…

It is very difficult for many Christians today to actually understand the struggles of the first-century Christians. They were called to believe Christ against all odds.

How do you expect, for example, a Gentile who had not known God all his life, to believe that a certain Jewish boy called Jesus is his savior (from only God knows what), when the Jews themselves did not believe it? Ponder…

To make matters worse, the so-called savior they were still struggling to accept, had even died. All of these mysteries simply helped set the stage for unbelief.

So, God in all His wisdom, decided to consider all of humanity to be prisoners of their unbelief, so that He could unlock their hearts and show his tender mercies and unconditional love to all.

God was not quick to punish unbelievers. Rather, He understood their limitations and weaknesses and was patient with them. God was rather quick to help build their faith and was patient with their unbelief.

God did this so that He could present His universal salvation package to all mankind without discrimination, whether Jew or Gentile.

Today, we live in Christ, all thanks to God’s patience with the earliest unbelievers.

May the eyes of all people everywhere across the world be opened to comprehend the love of God, so that they may believe in that which was reserved for them in the finished works of Christ, and begin to explore that, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
