Today’s Devotional…
Did you know we all have the same Father? Yes, God is the Father of all human beings.
This simply reveals that we are one big spiritual family. And just like in our human families, we may have all kinds of characters in this one universal home. And however complicated some family members may be, you cannot disown them.
According to Acts 17:28&29, we all are the offspring of God created in Christ in whom we also well.
We therefore ought to regard one another as brothers and sisters, and not just other humans, strangers, or enemies.
Love is the natural constraint when you deal with family, no matter the offense.
This simple understanding can give room for forgiveness, end wars, reconcile nations, and bring peace to the entire world.
So, when next you pray and talk to “your” Father God, just remember that you are not the only child. When next you “send fire” to kill your “enemies” remember that they are ALSO your father’s children – they are your siblings in Christ.
May the Holy Spirit open your eyes to see all men as one family, so that your expression of love may be limitless, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
